Shapes of Iceland is a personal project trying to visualize uniqueness and diversity of magnificent natural phenomenons in a small area like Iceland. Idea started (and is still going on) as Tumblr photo-blog and the purpose of this website is to place photos from the blog into slightly different perspective.
Photographs are mostly focused on various natural shapes and patterns found all over Iceland, most of them visually completely unearthly. Focusing on the pattern itself and eliminating it from the context of the big picture makes some of the images perplexing and even very hard to put into any explainable dimension.
Most of the photos were taken with smartphone camera and only few were color-processed afterwards.
